Spare Only An Hour To Learn 12 Key Life Choices To Succeed In Life
A Book Review – Master What Matters: 12 Value Choices To Help You Win At Life
By Maxwell Moments

What is “Master What Matters” about?
“Master What Matters” is a short book written by New York Bestseller Maxwell Moments. This book is slightly similar to “The Little Book of Calm” which I reviewed in the past, and it is a small book that captures key messages that help you “win at life”.
This book is a page-turner, with short concise messages in every chapter and consists of many meaningful quotations to illustrate the points. It is a casual read and likely you can finish reading it within an hour or two. Despite a quick read, the messages from within are deep and meaningful. You can spend a lifetime to live the knowledge out.
In “Master What Matters”, Maxwell lays out 12 important life principles that you should learn and master. If you are able to follow through on these 12 life principles every day, you are walking towards a great path to succeeding in life.
The book around 200 pages long and consists of 12 main chapters. They represent the 12 value choices that we can adopt to “Win at Life:
- Focus On Today
- See The Glass As Half-Full
- View Everyone As a Potential Friend
- Do What You Say You’ll Do
- Put Important Ahead Of Urgent
- Give Your Family Your Best
- Make Yourself Better Every Day
- Think Your Way To The Top
- Never Put Off Your Health
- Keep Money In Perspective
- Make Room For Faith
- Give More Than You Take

Who is “Master What Matters” for?
“Master What Matters” is a Self-help book written for people who are eager to make changes or progresses in life. It offers important life lessons in a casual format and teaches you what wise choices to make in order to lead a successful life.
Maxwell broke down these life lessons into 12 parts and encouraged you to follow them through. Since this is a short casual book, I will do this book review differently this time by quoting one meaningful passage from each chapter below to illustrate the knowledge. The passages quoted should be self-explanatory and you will learn the main idea from the chapter.

Thanks for sharing this book and I like those value choices. While I just catch the key ideas from your clip without reading the book myself, it sounds to me that the most important theme is “what matters” and it is introducing attitudes that may give a better shape to your life. We should choose to pay effort in mastering “what matters” to win our lives. The “win” is more personal but not evaluated by others in money term or fame.
